Installment 1, Scene 1 A car crash, in which Wojtek, Ewa's fiance, is fatally injured.

Installment 2, Review. Review of Installment 1.
Installment 2, Scene 1. A sad Christmas Eve. Ewa wants to start work as soon as possible. Her mother-in-law vehemently objects.
Installment 2, Scene 2. Ewa finds work in Stopczyk's pharmaceutical lab and is introduced by Stopczyk to her co-workers.

Installment 3, Review. Review of Installment 2.
Installment 3, Scene 1. Director Stopczyk unceremoniously cuts funds for the Adoloran project. Janek can't control his anger over the decision.
Installment 3, Scene 2. Ewa's first, unpromising, encounter with Janek. Adam arrives and is suprised to find Ewa working in "his" lab.

Installment 4, Scene 1. Janek and Krystyna have a spat, because Krystyna, a stewardess, suddenly has to fill in on a flight. Janek is jealous of Werner, Krystyna's pilot.
Installment 4, Scene 2. Krystyna introduces Joanna to her boss, captainWerner. Joanna is captivated. Krystyna invites Joanna in for a chat.
Installment 4, Scene 3. Krystyna and Joanna have a heart-to-heart talk about their husbands. Joanna reveals something about Adam's past.

Installment 5, Scene 1. Adam has an appointment with Professor Suchecki.
Installment 5, Scene 2. Adam unexpectedly meets Ewa in the home of the Sucheckis.

Installment 6, Scene 1. The professor and his wife have a talk. He thinks everything will work out between his wife and Ewa.
Installment 6, Scene 2. Pawel's sudden return from Switzerland to look after his sick father creates a staffing problem for Stopczyk.
Installment 6, Scene 3. Ewa consults with her doctor friend, Agata Wieczorek, on some health matter.
Installment 6 Scene 4. Pawel unexpectedly meets Ewa and offers her a ride home.
Installment 6, Scene 5. Janek needs Mariola's help on some lab work after hours.

Installment 7, Scene 3. Krysia's flight to Moscow has been canceled. Captain Werner offers her a ride home.
Installment 7 Scene 4. Werner unsuccessfully tries to get Krysia to check into a hotel with him.
Installment 7, Scene 5. Janek and Ewa warm up to each other and go over to first-name basis. Krysia walks in on them at an awkward moment.

Installment 8, Scene 1. Krysia and Joasia talk about their marriages.
Installment 8, Scene 2. Adam intervenes in a squabble between Marta and Piotr. Joanna wishes he wouldn't always take Piotr's side.
Installment 8, Scene 3. Adam tries to rekindle his old relationship with Ewa, but she doesn't respond in kind.
Installment 8, Scene 4. Stopczyk tries to enlist Adam's support in getting rid of Janek to open a permanent place in the lab for Ewa.

Installment 9, Scene 1. Pawel visits his father, who feels increasingly pessimistic about his chances for recovery.
Installment 9, Scene 2. Ewa asks permission to leave work early for a doctor's appointment.
Installment 9, Scene 3. Ewa picks up her results at the clinic.
Installment 9, Scene 4. Ewa learns she is pregnant. She thinks she is pleased.
Installment 9, Scene 5. Ewa tells Adam about her pregnancy, and that the child's father is Wojtek.
Installment 9, Scene 6. Ewa discusses with Agata the problems she sees in becoming an unwed mother. Agata will hear none of it.

Installment 11, Scene 1.A dead car battery (is it symbolic of their marriage?) leads to a falling out between Janek and Krystyna.
Installment 11, Scene 2.Joasia tells Krysia that she thinks Adam has someone on the side.
Installment 11, Scene 3.Professor Suchecki leaves for a conference in Krakow. He asks Ewa to keep the peace between her and her mother-in-law.
Installment 11, Scene 4.Joasia looks unusually dolled up for an editing session at the TV studio.
Installment 11, Scene 5.Joasia returns home late and drunk. Adam is waiting up for her, leading to a sharp exchange.

Installment 12, Scene 1.Ewa's mother-in-law returns home to find Ewa passed out on the stairs.
Installment 12, Scene 2.Ewa's mother-in-law, visiting Ewa in the hospital, learns to her shock that she is expecting a child.
Installment 12, Scene 3.Ewa's mother-in-law suspects the person inquiring about Ewa's health is her former boyfriend.
Installment 12, Scene 4.Pawel visits Ewa in the hospital.
Installment 12, Scene 5.Next Ewa is visited by Adam.
